More than likely McCain/McCain. Just because he's black a lot of people wouldn't vote for him.

Those people wouldn't be voting Democratic anyway.

You'd like to think that all of them are Republican. -_-

Many of them are still registered Democrats in Mississippi and South Carolina. That doesn't mean that they'd vote Democrat.

Being black, Hispanic, female, etc. wouldn't hurt a Democratic candidate nearly the way it would hurt a GOP candidate simply because most of the people who would refuse to vote for a woman, a black person or a Hispanic person do, in fact, vote GOP. (The racist union vote is fairly small.)

You think that the only people who are racist in America are Southerners? Think again. Anyone from any background can be however I doubt those working men that the Democratic Party tries to portray itself as the defenders of would be any more keen on voting for a person of African descent than a Southerner would be.

I don't know.. the people on the Iron Range of Minnesota are pretty gruff, old fashioned people.. and they voted for Modale in '84 with a 2 to 1 margin despite having a woman on the ticket.

That's because they could not in all honesty fathom the idea of not voting for a Democrat especially a Minnesota Democrat.
