Allen with 19% of the black vote?  That's more than the last election, if I remember correctly.

I'm not giving up on Webb.  I still think he can beat the waste of oxygen that is Virginia's junior senator.

There were all of 86 black respondents in that poll.  I wouldn't look too far into the results in small subcategories.

I'm not giving up on Webb.  I still think he can beat the waste of oxygen that is Virginia's junior senator.

Webb winning would be the upset of the year.  I think it's still possible, but I'm not betting on it.  He'd basically need to take every single undecided voter out there unless he can shift this race in the next two weeks.

Oh, don't worry, I won't.  I just found that little statistic surprising in this poll, especially when you consider how hard Webb's campaign has tried to paint Allen as a racist.

So now we have the LA Times showing Webb up 3, Rasmussen with Allen up 1, SUSA with Allen up 3, and Mason-Dixon with Allen up 4. (And Rasmussen being a more recent result than M-D by about 3-4 days).

I'm not discounting Webb at all. I now predict that this race will be decided by less than 3 points either way.
