With one week to go and Menendez ahead by 5, I consider Kean toasted. That said: If I can trust American polls more than the Austrian polls, which showed the Conservatives ahead within the margin of error in 40 consecutive polls, always ahead by 2-4 points but then on Election Day they lost the election by 1%.

Hopefully the US polls are better and predict a correct Democratic NJ win as it is the case now with 1 week to go !

I wouldn't consider Kean toast, but I think we are definitly looknig towards a Menendez victory by about 4-5 points.

November 6 2000,

In New Jersey's U.S. Senate race, Republican Bob Franks gets 45 percent of likely voters to Democrat Jon Corzine's 43 percent, a statistical tie, according to a Quinnipiac University Poll released today. Twelve percent are undecided.

I disagree. I think that if George Allen wins it will be with 51% of the vote at most.
