50 McCaskill
44 Talent

http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReportEmail.aspx?g=4158abda-a3b0-4510-95d9-76237206ffa9

"These results are based on a 3-day rolling average of interviews conducted Saturday 11/4, Sunday 11/5 and Monday 11/6. Earlier, today Monday 11/6/06, SurveyUSA had released data based on interviews conducted Friday/Saturday/Sunday that showed McCaskill up by 9 points."

You might want to remove the "just" from the topic title, since six is an improvement from the last Survey USA poll for McCaskill (there's one more recent than the weird +9 one).

SurveyUSA has always seen this race as more Democratic than anyone else, but Rasmussen really does appear all out on its lonesome.

Actually, earlier this afternoon SurveyUSA released a poll with McCaskill up nine.

The SUSA trendlines are now
10/23, McCaskill up nine.
10/30 McCaskill up three.
11/06 McCaskill up nine (not including Monday interviews).
11/06 (including Monday interviews) McCaskill up six.

It sounds basically like polling over the weekend gets you way too many Democrats.

Two polls in one day?  My head hurts.  My apologies, then.  I'm having trouble tracking these all...

It's not really two polls in a day... more like a 4 day tracking poll in which they first released results from the first 3 days, and then released results from the last 3 days.

But no apologies needed, it is confusing indeed!

Rasmussen really does appear all out on its lonesome.

Actually. Mason Dixon had Talent down 1%, while "The bot" had him up 1%. these two polls essentially agree.

The GOP base IS waking up.  It may be too little too late, but things are indeed closing.

I hate it when SUSA does this, it's like they're trying to create trendlines.  Their "we don't know what the hell is going on in VA Governor in 2005" remark really made me seeth, even though they were the most accurate poll in the end.

Vorlon and I are seeing basically the same things nationally, fyi.  I wouldn't be surprised if we're seeing the same things in the Senate and House either.  Tongue

That may be happening, but this race isn't really an indicator since it's been razor thin the whole time.

Six now? Whatever. It is time to get ready for the actual election.
