i was a proud supporter of his in 1996.  i wouldnt mind supporting him again.

any chance he might run? (especially given today's news that he lost the election for minority whip, he has no particular need to stay in the senate.)

My dislike for the man aside, he would never do it. He couldn't pull it out in 1996 (or 2000) so he certainly wouldn't be able to now.

See basically every thread that I've posted in today for the reason.

well as a member of the 'alexander/htmldon wing of the party', i cared a lot about santorum's effort.  i still cant believe pa actually voted for casey over santorum.

i also think htmldon supported santorum.

Don didn't give a damn if Santorum won or not. Check his recent posts about Santorum.

As for you supporting Santorum, you are different, Walter, in many, many ways.  Smiley

i dont think failing to win an election for minority whip would adversly affect his presidential chances.

the fact that he will be 68 in 2008 may be a disqualifying factor, however.

If he can't win minority whip at a point where it should have been easy for him, he certainly can't win the Republican nomination.
