Iraqi kid runs for water

Obviously, I'm not saying this is a wide spread event in Iraq and I'm sure for every one incident like this there are 20 or so where soldiers really take care of the Iraqi kids... but what exactly was this soldier thinking?

When the brother or cousin of one of those kids hears about that little stunt and sets up an ambush for their next patrol... then what?

Yes, it's obvious that these soldiers were not thinking about the potential consequences of their actions. It is however possible that if these soldiers little video is ever found out about by their superiors that they will be strictly disciplined for it.

If it is real (the back of a truck shot is positioned easily enough that it could have been a soundstage with a film running behind the truck.  I don't think that is the case, but I do consider it plausable), then those soldiers deserve a nice rest in Leavenworth Kansas.

Seriously, this sort of (stuff), along with the dumb (stuff) we did at Abu Gharib gives aid and comfort to the enemy by demolishing our good name and standing.
