I would like to ask Senator Hawk to continue on until the election of a new PPT.

Given that I can find no requirement in either the Constitution or the Senate rules that the PPT must be a Senator, or even a registered voter, I hereby offer my candidacy for PPT.

I have reservations over whether not it would be constitutional. If it discovered that it is indeed constitutional based on Article I Section I, Peter if elected would probably not have voting rights within in the Senate as such rights are not expressed in part 4 of the section.

Article 8: Rules on PPT Elections, Section 1: Rules for Conducting the Election of the PPT, Clause 2 reads:

Following the swearing in of the new Senate at the beginning of each Session, the President of the Senate shall open a thread in the Fantasy Government for Senators to announce their candidacy for the position of PPT. This thread shall be further known in this document as the PPT Candidacy Declaration Thread and shall be open for seventy-two (72) hours for Senators to declare their candidacy for this position

While, it's not explicit what to do in the event of the resignation of a PPT, it seems logical that the same procedure would be be adhered to

I'm currently Acting PPT of the Senate, and I, hereby, declare that I'm seeking re-election to this post

All right. I declared my support for Peter Bell earlier, but let's be a little more serious here. Whilst it would be amusing to elect an unregistered non-Senator as PPT, I do not wish to be held responsible for any more unnecessary chaos. If Peter Bell registers to vote and is subsequently elected Senator of some region/district, then I would consider supporting him. However, we don't need any more confusion and I trust that Senator Dave Hawk will resume doing an excellent job if re-elected PPT.
