First, the gubernatorial race:

Ritter (D) defeated Beauprez (R) 57-40.

Now Amendment 42 (raising the minimum wage):

Red = Yes
Blue = No

It passed 53-47. There are some very interesting results here... most surprising to me was Rio Blanco County. 80 percent for George W. Bush in 2004, 61 percent for Beauprez this year, it voted "yes" on the increase 51-49.

Amendment 43 (banning same-sex marriage):

Blue = Yes
Red = No

It passed 56-44.

Amendment 44 (legalizing marijuana):

Red = Yes
Blue = No

It failed 60-40. Sad

The true-blue socially liberal areas (and the communitarians) really stick out on these last two. Gotta love San Miguel... it voted over 70 percent for Bill Ritter, a higher minimum wage, gay marriage and legal marijuana. Smiley
