As I said in another thread, good performance by Obama.

I'm also pulling for the Bears...if the Eagles are ever taken out of the picture.  Wink

Obama was merely stating the obvious. San Diego, beware of Rex Grossman! And Devin Hester!

They better switch the schedule around, have the Cardinals play on MNF and let McCain get his minute in.  Wink

I didn't either. I heard about it on the news and checked Youtube. It seemed very serious so I'm wondering how many football fans change the channel for a few minutes. I doubt I would have fallen for it.

OK. At 8:30 pm EST on 12/12, I am calling the 2008 race for Barack Obama. He is like the 6 million dollar man running for President. He just fits. America will give him the keys to the car and say, "We believe in you. Don't f$%k up-- or we'll boot your ass in 2012 in a heartbeat, mister."  He's Bobby Kennedy on steroids, Bill Clinton but younger and without the bimbo baggage and without the "slick" label. He's got the strong chin, the big head, the booming voice, the gigantic smile, the eye sparkle. People want him to be the next big thing.

Great appearance by Obama.

I am 3/4 done reading his first book "Dreams from my Father" and it is an incredible book, 450 pages but very fast-moving and entertaining. Highly recommended.

I don't think McCain would want to look stupid and root for the Cardinals

With the way the Cards are palying this year, I doubt we'll see them on MNF in '07.

BTW: The Bears won't make it to the Super Bowl. They blow it every year at home in the playoffs and with Grossman at QB, they are not going to do ditty poo.

It's going to be New England v. Dallas/Seattle. Yes, I'm being biased!.

No Broncos?

And I honestly don't think we have the horses in New England to make the Super Bowl this year.

The thing I like Obama is that he's very self-aware of the fact that all eyes are on him right now and can still make jokes about it like this. Tongue

I remember a while ago I was in the camp of people who felt that he "wasn't ready".  But the more I see of him, the more I'm warming up to the thought of Obama carrying the flag of the "anti-Hillary".

It was a stupid skit.  Not as bad as TO's skit last year, but stupid just the same.  They should have had Jim Belushi doing it instead.

Agreed.  However, it would have been quite acceptable if performed by a Republican.

Again?  Having Belushi do yet another Bears related skit would be way past stale.  At least this one was timely and fresh in concept, whatever one might think about its writing or execution.

Clever.

He still carries maybe ten states if he's the nominee.

I've tried very hard to keep myself from agreeing with this statement, since I like Obama and don't want to get my hopes up. As time goes on, however, I am leaning more and more toward agreeing with it. The fact that it was written by a Republican gives it even more credibility.
