Republican, on balance (though occasionally with the dems, and libertarians...maybe even greens on some issues...though no idea what)

Democrat- do you honestly think I'd have any faith left in the Republicans to run the economy! Smiley

Democratic. It's economic issues which have determined my affiliation with the Democratic Party. I'm more pro-free trade than a lot of Democrats but even then, as far as free trade goes, there's certain stipulations Smiley I favor

I have slightly more faith in the GOP, and right now thats all due to philosophical agreements rather than any endorsement of the Bush years.

Gasp...could the democrats have it right?

Libertarians - Too crazy
Republicans - Too big government-friendly
Democrats - Too economically liberal

Woe.

Democratic, I guess.  I'm sure that some people would tell me that I'd be voting against my own interests for doing so, but I don't trust the Republicans to run the economy at all.

And the Libertarians and Greens... no comment.

He reminded me pretty strongly of DWTL. Or someone parodying Frodo, as he suspects (which would actually be pretty funny, but it's still trolling).

Democrat, because the Republican party is too corporatist.

How?  DWTL is an off-the-charts conservative, on which he prides himself.  This guy is somewhat more relatively moderate.

Thing is with DWTL is that he has a massive erection for the far right.

Lets not make it a policy to accuse everyone who criticizes their own party as a troll. At least initially

I can assure you I am neither DWTL or Frodo, although after reading some of their posts they both seem like great posters

He's a fan of Sam Brownback, for one. And his posting style is very similar.

Of course not, and perhaps I spoke too quickly. My apologies to our conservative friend if he's not a joke poster.

Sorry if I came off as someone else, I just feel that the Democratic party has become divided and we need to get back together if we want to win in 2008.  We won in 2006 because we were the party of change, if we want to stay in power we must give people a reason to vote for us that the middle of America can like.

Republican, though I trust neither party to handle the economy. I trust that both won't (can't?) wreck it.

Democrat, although I'm slightly more right-wing economically than most progressive Democrats. I guess I fit in rather nicely with the Pro-Business DLCers.
