Ohio is irrelevant to anything. People are ditching it like a bad habit.

Ummmmm.........yeeeeaah.......it's SO irrelevant that it is going to decide who the next President is. Roll Eyes

I dont think Voinovich is going to retire.....though alot does depends on the makeup of the Senate.  These guys all hang on so long now.

I know........I gotta admit it's starting to annoy me, even when Democrats do it who would create openings for Republican challengers if they retired. The Senate badly needs new blood - about half of the Senators currently serving have at least one foot in the grave.

In '08 possibly but I certainly wouldn't be betting on gaining any EV's come 2010.

I'm against term limits, but I've though about an age limit. Say once a Senator turns 75 they can only finish their current term and can't run for a new one. It's ridiculous to have dinosaurs like Strom Thurmond hanging around forever.

I finds this very surprising but the Senate is now apparently the oldest it has ever been.  Isn't the average age something like 64 now?
