I don't know which to accept.  Ernest's is more explanitory.  If I didn't know the answer, I would have to ask PB for a follow up.  Ummmmmmmmmmmmm.  I'm going to go with Ernest, sorry PB, nothing personal.

Point for Ernest.

I said "Peace was already declared" but it's your game. Smiley

19) The date is Nov. 22 1963.  President Kennedy was in his motorcade in Dallas when shots ring out.  President Kennedy is hit first in the neck, a non-mortal wound.  The next shot would kill him instantly.  Kennedy may have lived and had an easy recovery if he had been able to slouch over after the first shot.  Why didn't he?
His bad back that should have kept him out of the Navy.

I think you got it.

Here is another.  One person to hold the office of President was censured by the US Senate.  Who was it?

Tough one, and I thought I knew it all about U.S. Presidents. Smiley

James Monroe is my guess

Of course Jackson! (Feels embarrased)

James Monroe was censured while serving as Governor of Virginia.

For what it's worth, the first Senator to become president to have leagal action taken against him for raceteering was Harry S Truman, but only because of his ties with Tom Pendergrast.

Truman actually was censured by several Republican state legislatures, while president, over the MaAurthur firing.  That's why I phased the question the way I did.

Joe McCarthy went as far as to say, "The bastard ought to be impeached," when he heard of the firing of MacArthur.
