I answered political matrix questions the way I thought GWB Bush would answer them, and I found out his score. Guess what his score is. I will give a fictional prixe to whoever gets closest. Go...

Bored, so I did the Test as GWB:

Economic score: +2.32
Social score: +6.09

Not that that means anything at all....

For Bush to be ranked as economically liberal is ridiculous.

I'm not convinced that Bush even has a coherent real ideology anymore.

George W. Bush would probably come in somewhere around E: 3.1 and S: 6.9 on the Political Matrix.

I am convinced that Bush has never had a coherent ideology.

Okay, but he at least had the pretense of one when first elected.

I tried to, and ran into problems immediately. It's quite possible that Bush considers the Patriot Act to be an infringement of civil rights, it's just that he doesn't give a fuck. It's more likely that he's allowed himself to be convinced that it isn't, though.

The same kind of problems will probably crop up more often.

Anyways, I got Ec +6.45 Soc +4.35

It seems that the more leftwing board members see Bush as more rightwing than the rigthwing members.

LOL @ the folks that put Bush over a 2 in the economic category. It's quite obvious with Bushs' spending that he is NO economic conservative.

If Bush is left-wing then I'm Jesus.

We might as well say (to achieve full political bastardization) that Bush uses traditionally left-wing methods to achieve right-wing goals.

I never said he was left wing, I said he's a populist and a fiscal liberal. Look at his spending.

Look at the questions on the test. Anyways arms spending is neither populist nor fiscally liberal.

The questions on the test don't make such fine distinctions. All Bush likes spending on is the military; he's an economic conservative on everything else.

I got +4.90, +5.39.

The immigration question brings down his social score. Questions on the budget and military spending would lower his economic score (and incidentally probably make mine positive; a dastardly thought).

That's quite false. Under the Bush administration, there has been a massive increase in non-defense spending, the largest since the Johnson administration.

My first attempt gave Bush about (3e, 5s). I think the economic number is too high; the test asks things like "who is better: big corporations or the people?" and not "what about reducing government spending for both?".

The questions on the test don't make such fine distinctions. All Bush likes spending on is the military; he's an economic conservative on everything else.

Okay, then how do you explain:
*NCLB
*Medicare Part D
*support for raising minimum wage
*support for foreign aid
*support for school voucher program
*McCain-Feingold Campaign Finance Reform
*support for decreasing fossil fuel consumpsion
*etc.

Bush is arguably even more of a leftist than Clinton on economics. Howver, forum Democrats won't admit that, because they hate capitalism and Bush, and they don't want those to be mutually exclusive.

It's quite obvious with Bush's plutocracy that he is far right economically.
