Filtering: 2,400 state of Washington adults were interviewed by SurveyUSA. Of them, 2,061 were registered to vote. Of them, 669 were identified by SurveyUSA as likely to vote in a Democratic Primary, 497 were identified as likely to vote in a Republican Primary. The likely voters were included in this survey. There's just one problem: In 2004, the state of Washington cancelled its Presidential Primary. In 2008, the date of the Primary is uncertain, as it is in a number of other states. But unique to Washington state is whether the results of any primary, held on whatever date, will or will not "count." One or both of the political parties in Washington state may decide to ignore the votes from a state primary, if one is held, and instead count only the votes from separately staged caucuses. This situation is fluid, as of 05/03/07.
