Embarrassing for DeSantis. Bad for Haley though, Christie is going to continue to eat into the anti-Trump vote.

DeSantis is now 4th instead of 5th. Making progress I assume.

Maybe Christie can run low on money and leave. Or maybe Haley’s campaign can work out a deal with him to get him to drop out and endorse her

The irony if he costs her this state and helps deliver it to Trump

Haley is an absolute ghoul. Proof that many just vote on personality and nothing else.

This is Trump's worst poll in weeks, maybe months.

Even then it's still a 20 point lead in one of his worst states. The other candidates are running out of time to make this a real race.

Agree — Trump remains heavily favored, but I think polls like this are a good reminder that he was never actually "inevitable" in a primary. Rather, Trump's challengers (DeSantis more than anybody else) failed to exploit his glaring vulnerabilities because they didn’t have their finger on the pulse of the GOP base. Haley/Christie are good attack dogs, but their brand of Republicanism & profiles are just entirely unappealing to the vast majority of GOP voters. DeSantis would have won if he had run on the FL model and gone after Trump the way Reagan would have, but he didn’t.

These people really don’t get why the GOP base actually "adores" Ronald Reagan — it’s not because of his ideology or record; it’s because of his personality, his image as a leader and winner, and the movement he inspired.

If Trump wins again in 2024, he’ll have been incredibly lucky that so many of his opponents faltered or downright imploded in so many different ways, especially Clinton, Rubio, DeSantis, and Biden.
