Poor bastard should've kept his mouth shut about guns and those meat-eating, union douchebags in WV, KY and TN wouldn't have pulled the lever for Bush.

My computer screen is snarling at me.

I was not very knowegeable about politics back then, but based on what my parents were saying, I thought Gore was going to win. Not like I really cared either way back then, but in retrospect I am very disappointed in Gore for blowing an election that he was clearly supposed to win (and don't tell me about the Supreme Court, Jeb Bush, and Katharine Harris because Gore was supposed to win even without Florida due to the good economy and lack of foreign threats).

Bush. Even though i was in second grade at the time. My Parents are republicans and wanted Bush to win. And i remember watching NBC's coverage and they were talking about Florida. I didn't realize what was going on until got unto politics a few years ago. but, i still have plenty of memories from this election

Hi All,

This is my first post here.

I still remember that night clearly.

Days before the election the polls were usually 2 points ahead for Gore and then 2 for Bush. See-Saw.

I expected Bush to win a tight race by taking Florida, however. I didn't expect the hanging chad to hold things up for the following few weeks or so.
