Dino Rossi hinted on Saturday at a possible rematch against Gov. Chris Gregoire (D-WA) in 2008, according to the Tacoma News Tribune.

"Rossi said his family would make a decision before the end of the year whether he’ll run for governor again in 2008. He’s keeping himself in the public eye, going around the state giving speeches and signing copies of his book -- generally acting like a candidate."

He just isnt going to be able to pull what he pulled in last time. Itll still be close, but I dont think he can get >48% anymore, so it doesnt matter whether he runs or not.

Funny, I think it matters to Chris.

Hmm. . .Rossi winning an election vs. let's say the murder of thousands of Filipinos during our occupation.  Clearly one of the "great injustices"

I'd watch just how you exaggerate Smiley

Rossi's running?  Gee, no way!

He's being coy.  The Washington GOP is well aware that he is their only chance (outside of maybe Attorney General Rob McKenna).

Like people are gonna vote for that sore loser after the big tantrum he threw last time.

Gregoire's approval ratings have gone up steadily to the point where she will be tough to beat, even by Rossi.

Rossi's only hope is really to rekindle the public's dissatisfaction with the results of the 2004 gubernatorial election enough to make them give him the job he thinks he should have had.  Given the trend of Gregoire's approval ratings, that does not seem very likely.

Agreed, at the beggining of Gregoire's term people were still extremely bitter about the results, but as time has gone by Gregoire's numbers have gone up quite a good amount, I would even venture to say that she is "popular", especially because she hasnt tracked too far to the left. Rossi most likely wont be able to get what he did last time, especially because all he has to run on is the "I should have won" slogan, but then again you never know...

Nah, unlike Dean, Dino is an actual long-established name.

I only wish he was a Democrat, because that would be hilarious.
