Yes, we agreed on the "Middle East Peace Act of 2009".

um...

I voted for the bill and helped amend to the point that it wasn't awful garbage so that we could hopefully move the region towards peace and stability, not to satisfy your crazy grudges against other members, and I'm sure the other Senators who worked on and voted for this bill would agree with me. Please don't pretend it's some victory for you and a defeat for your political enemies.

I applaud this senate for what it has done, which is said enough is enough with angry letters and took some action which other senates was not willing to do.  It doesn't matter what you intended, the message that was sent was clear that European angry letters won't fly anymore

My problem is that you're construing my vote and the votes of others as attacks on or defeats of former Senators Al and Jas, which I never (and I assume no one but you ever) intended to say anything about Jas or Al. Indeed, Jas seemed to be supportive of the Senate's efforts to turn the original awful bill into something diplomatic and feasible.

When I say "European" I am referring to the blockade of progress known as the "Euro 3", Jas, Al, and Lewis.  You are not among this group Smiley

So what happened to you saying I would lead one of the "worst, inactive Senates ever"?

Your leadership has nothing to do with it.  In fact, you have numerous times messed up rules and asked us to "cut you some slack".

However I have opened and closed votes on time, and those things have been fairly rare.  Most Atlasians besides yourself have been coming and complementing on my strong stewardship.  No one except for you has said anything negative to me directly.

I think you are doing a great job as PPT.

I second Afleitch's sentiments. You're doing a fine job as PPT.

I also think you're doing a great job as PPT HappyWarrior. Bringing up the Beginner's Guide To Atlasia Act would improve my opinion of you even more. Tongue

I also think HW has been a good PPT, although I'm not fond of some his recent votes.

As it turns out, I can't find any.  I am, however, extremely displeased by the Mideast "Peace" Act vote.

Currency Issue to Reach Federal Court
by South Park Conservative

A few months after the Senate rejected a bill that would institute a gold standard, the Southeast took matters into their own hands by passing an initiative that would institute a gold standard in the Southeast and repeal legal tender laws. Due to questionable constitutionality of the initiative, Attorney General Marokai Blue has decided to sue the Southeast government in federal court.

I believe the argument I will be making in front of the Supreme Court will argue for its constitutionality.

SPC does have a great argument, whether or not the justices will accept it is a different story.

Presidential Election Should Be a Great One

After two successful terms, President Bgwah is term-limited and unable to seek re-election.  After showing tremendous strength in not only electing Bgwah, but having their candidate, DWTL, finish second, the RPP looks to be a major player.  Gov. Duke has thrown his name out there, and Sen. DWTL along with Sen. BrandonH look to be major players as well.  The idea of Meeker running for the presidency has been floated by some, and Lief is another name that tends to get thrown into the discussion.  As of now, no candidates are declared.
