KyleGordon declared for the Mideast race, which isn't happening.  He never declared for this race.

I would have corrected you if no one else had.

I think it's a little early to say that the JCP will have two holds. While I certainly hope that's the case (as both a member of the party and a strong supporter of Marokai and Fritz), and do think that we can do it, you really never know with these elections. I'd put it at 1 DA, 1 RPP, 1 JCP, 2 toss-ups, myself.
For that matter can you really count a party that had 9 voters in the special elections and is running 3 candidates to have a lock at all?  Certainly I will do my best to push either PurpleState, Franzl, or both across the finish line, but nothing is a guarantee.  I may actually be willling to switch RPP first prefs to voting for one of the two because it would be a travesty to see Afleitch as the DA member that is elected

Hmmm...is Afleitch a DAINO?  Cheesy

What about the amendment to the LGB Dignity bill?  Wasn't that "contested?"

Define contested, I don't get it.

I am not a pre-merger JCPer.  I was in the DA.

As far as I can tell from what was said by SPC, Duke was asked to run as the RPP was considering running a third candidate. Perhaps you were not kept in the loop, but the people pulling the strings in the RPP have run it like a machine, sometimes better oiled than others.

Actually, I just suggested that we run a write-in candidate, and Duke volunteered.

But you were okay with running a third candidate. It didn't shock you and DWTL and force you to reconsider the numbers scheme. It was carefully planned. Hamilton seems to think Duke decided to buck the party and run the campaign as a maverick, which you would agree is not the case.

It really wasn't carefully planned at all. It was just thrown together one day. The numbers weren't even being decided yet(on who votes for whom, etc.)

There was more planning than Hamilton believes there to be. You also would say that the numbers are, at some point, decided. I'm not detracting from this strategy. The JCP uses them too. I'm just trying to let Hamilton know that just because he doesn't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there.

Of course the numbers are decided at some point. If not, there's no way we could guarantee getting at least two members in.

Wait a minute.  You guys actually sit down and DECIDE who votes for who?  And then tell the members who they are supposed to vote for?

To my knowledge, the JCP does not employ this strategy.  Yes, PMs are sent, but thats not quite the same thing.

Round II
NE Chairman RowanBrandon8
Senator Afleitch7
Fmr. Senator SPC7(+FallenMorgan, Hamilton, NiK, Ronnie, Smid, cinyc, dead0man, RowanBrandon, MasterJedi, filliatre, JewishConservative, floridarepub, Libertas, A-Bob, Daniel Adams)
Senator Marokai Blue7
Senator Fritz6
Senator Franzl3
Sewer Socialist2
Fmr. Governor AHDuke (write-in)1
GM Purple State0

AHDuke is eliminated and his vote goes to SPC, who is elected.

I think you made a mistake here.  SPC should have 8 at this point, not 7.  Then when Duke's vote gets re-allocated, SPC has 9.

You'll notice the total sum here is 41, and should be 42.

Okay, by my calculations here is what we have currently (I used page 74 as my starting point):

Total voters 56, quota 11, last vote Antonio V:

RowanBrandon: 16
Fritz: 11
Marokai Blue: 10
Afleitch: 7
Franzl: 6
SPC: 2
Duke: 2
Sewer Socialist: 2

Round II:
RowanBrandon: 11
Fritz: 11
Marokai Blue: 10
Afleitch: 7
Franzl: 6
SPC: 7
Duke: 2
Sewer Socialist: 2

Round III:
RowanBrandon: 11
Fritz: 11
Marokai Blue: 10
Afleitch: 9
Franzl: 7
SPC: 8

This looks to getting very close between Franzl and SPC for the 5th spot.

Quota is 10 at that level isn't it?

How exactly is quota figured?  I thought it was votes/seats (5) and drop the remainder.  Is that not right?

Hopefully Franzl will top Afleitch, he may be getting my first-preference if it comes down to those down.  Right now its a three-man race for the last seat between Afleitch, Franzl, and Duke with Duke a heavy underdog

Wrong.  Its a race between Afleitch, Franzl, and SPC for spots 4 and 5, with Afleitch favored for spot 4.

SPC, I see that you just updated, but round 2 is all wrong.  And could you please do round 3?  Smiley  I think its a bit closer between Franzl and yourself for the fifth spot than you are realizing.

Actually DWTL, all of Duke's votes don't go to SPC.  Check again.

Well we shall see.  I'm not counting votes that haven't been cast yet, you admittedly are.
