Top 5 (No order):
1. Finding out that Yankee is still alive.
2. The election where I won my first election in Atlasia and my subsequent victories & defeats.
3. Finding out that ER became a mod.
4. Grump's death
5. The announcement that I'd be Tim's running mate in Atlasia.

This thread, which I plan to add to again after the election. It made me realize why I love history- it's an understanding of where people's heads were at at a given point in time toward broader understandings of social order and social change.

I now understand 3/5th's of f#@k all about US Politics. It's an absurdity.

The forum is packed with bona fide galah's, but every so often, an educated person in the know throws in a chestnut of knowledge. That English guy with the unpronouncable name is a sea of information well expressed.

The predominance of insecure young males projecting their opinions and fears on others can stifle conversation, but most people can see through it. Their days of self-congratulation often come to an end sooner than expected.

To be fair to the restless youth, this election has a few fearful sheep enduring sleepless nights.

I am always amazed how some political analyst 12,700km away through the centre of the Earth knows more about my electorate and associated political circumstance than I do.

The Survivor thread got me into the show back in 2019, which is now one of my favorite shows to keep up with regularly as it's airing, one of the few. Also, having an outlet to vent some of my frustrations with the extreme lockdown measures imposed here in Portugal definitely helped in the worst moments.

I decide how to run my life and make key life decisions by putting up a poll on FC.

Not necessarily on here, but the revelations on Snowguy shook me to my core. As someone who was close with him I never dreamed he would be capable of something like the things he did. I actually took a break because it affected me that deeply.

I have a lot of thoughts on the matter - many of which will remain private. The incident led me to grow closer to some of my closest friends on here.

My thread asking where I should move will impact my life when I journey to the Last Frontier this summer.

Also, I recall someone saying he was convinced by my anti-circumcision arguments on this site and as a result decided not to get his soon-to-be-born son cut. Honestly, the fact that my posting saved a single man's foreskin from the butcher's blade makes all the time I've spent on this site worth it. Possibly the best community service I've ever performed.

Hey, don't take all the credit. I remember that, though I don't remember who it was. I felt similarly, though I'll admit you did most of the heavy lifting in that topic/debate. 🙌
