Two primaries I'm watching:

-OR-05 D, discussed in another thread on here already

-GA-03 R, to determine who replaces Drew Ferguson (a McCarthy ally). Hoping Mike Dugan can outrun Trump-endorsed Brian Jack.

In Kentucky there’s three state representative who have lost their primary to more conservative, more outwardly transphobic opponents. Most notable is Timoney, an educator, who voted against an anti-trans bill in a somewhat competitive seat in the suburbs of Lexington. This could end up flipping now that they have an Uber conservative candidate.

Mike Simpson isn't doing as good as I thought he would be doing in Idaho-02.

Oregon-03: I hadn't been following this but thought Susheela Jayapal was a shoo-in. Is Maxine Dexter in the lead a surprise or no?

I have not followed this one closely either but maybe I should have. I think we can almost call this one for Dexter already.

People like to complain about VBM states taking days to count but if a race is not close you know it right away.

No matter who wins the OR-3 and OR-5 Dem nominations, and the OR-5 general, Oregon's House delegation will be 5/6 women next year.

Whelp... looks like Bynum it is definitely not just the early results in the sliver of the district in MultCo...

Per OR-SOS

CD-05-DEM-

TV= 37.3k

Bynum- 26.1k
McLeod-Skinner- 11.1k

Bynum is even winning Deschutes County, which was McLeod-Skinner's base stronghold in the run against Schrader by something around 60-40 thus far...

Also the guy who primaried Timoney is named - and I am not making this up - Thomas Jefferson.

Looks like a good night for the more moderate Dems in Oregon. Progressive Multnomah County DA Mike Schmidt is going down big with half the vote in.
