Favorites (as of now): Biden and Paul (McCain of the folks that have a shot)
Least (as of now): Richardson and F. Thompson (he looks too much like a 4 year extension of Bush - though I could easily consider him tied with a number of other folks running on the GOP side for unacceptability).

For those of you who picked Gravel as your favorite Dem ... it was the "staring at the camera" ad which sold you on him, wasn't it?

Didn't pick him but obviously that ad made it tempting.

I still don't particularly like anyone who is currently running. Obviously some people are better than others, but pretty much everyone either seems downright loathesome or vaguely tolerable whilst unfortunately possessing a nontrivial quantity of irredeemably bothersome traits. The fact that I don't have anyone to support based on partisanship alone ostensibly contributes to my indecisiveness. Maybe I shall finally decide on a candidate to support in 2009 or something.

I am completely in favour of Tancredo or Brownback receiving the Republican nomination, though. Smiley

In all seriousness it was when he said to abolish the IRS, that blew me off my seat

Democrats: We're a mixed bag. Hillary is a flake, a classic career politician, and would hurt our chances of winning if she did get nominated. Obama has a good record for the most part and is brilliant, but sounds like a walking Hallmark card (please, take more of a stand). Biden much like Hillary comes off as an egomaniac and a darkhorse candidate at best as usual. Richardson is my favorite candidate out of all the people running, but he has no shot at the nomnination right now so I'm going with Obama.

Republicans: Once again, pretty much all of the Republicans horrify me this time around. The vast majority come off as trigger happy and/or authoritarian. Especially Giuliani, who has shown repeatedly that he would go even further than Bush on the War on Terror. The one big exception is Ron Paul, and I disagree with him vehemently on many issues. The GOP needs to show some respect for basic civil liberties and fiscal restraint again if it's going to make itself a respectable opponent in my eyes. Right now, it just comes off as evil.
