Anyone have a map for Kentucky in the 2000 presidential "election" that shows who carried each precinct?

I have a data file from somewhere, but it doesn't really show where the precincts are.

No... I don't.
But if you can get hold of a map of the precincts which show where each precinct is(even if for one county) you can colour them in.

This won't answer your question because Kentucky hasn't provided the Census bureau with the appropriate data but for almost every other state, the CB has some GIS maps with 2000 precinct boundaries for most of the states.

You will need ArcExplorer or another GIS application to view them - http://www.esri.com/software/arcexplorer/aedownload.html

why do you call it an "election"?  why not just refer to it as an election without the quotation marks?

Thanks Bleeding Heart for posting!!!!....

Unfortunately I ran into the following error when I followed the link you posted....

Do you have a better file location available that works, since there is a ton of '00 Precinct level data out there, especially at the Presidential level, and would love to see what states have these maps available through the US CB....

Was extremely exciting when I read your post, and then got disappointed once I received the error message. Sad

EDit: Whoah!!!--- just realized this was a Necro Post from '03, still some of our resident precinct mapping gurus might be aware if there is some kind of "cached US CB webpage out there" of this nature. Grasping at straws at this point.
