Is John Lynch the only person who can take Gregg down?

Probably.  And even he might not be able to do it.

No. Politics is unpredictable. Freaking State Senator Kay Hagan just beat incumbent Senator Liddy Dole by nearly 10 points. Anything's possible.

Lynch would have by far the best shot though.

Yes he proabably is the only one that could take Gregg down. Right now it appears more likely that Hodes will run though. Lynch doesn't strike me as someone who wants to be in the senate but since the White House is about to be occupied by Democrat the Senate looks like his only avenue for advancement for a while.

Most likely. Gregg is an institution.

Sununu hadn't committed any sins though.

I'd put a higher than 50% chance on Lynch running and a higher than 85% of him taking down Gregg.  Schumer said he had 2-3 governors committed to running next cycle, and there are only three viable governors (Lynch, Sebelius, Henry).

Although Henry said he didn't want to... but we can't take that 100% seriously yet.

Sununu hadn't committed any sins though.

Sununu's sin was remaining an unapologetic conservative in a state that was rapidly speeding towards the center. Gregg is a little more moderate on social issues (voted against the marriage amendment, for stem-cell research). He also has had more time to become an institution in New Hampshire -- three terms in the Senate following two terms as Governor.

Since when was "viable" a requirement?  Perhaps Ted Strickland really wants to run?  Chet Culver?  Beshear?  Rendell?
