Grant County, WA is the most obscure one I can think of.

Powder River, MT

My great aunt and uncle have a cattle ranch there.  I've been there at least 10 times.

I've been to Shasta.

I haven't been to Salem County, and there's no other county in NJ so out of the way that none of you would have been to it. Maybe Somerset or Franklin County, Maine?

I bet between you and all the other NJ posters every county in NJ has been visited.
I personally have been to everyone

But here's a few that are more obscure:

Essex, NY and Addison, VT

I went to summer camp one year in Vilas, WI. Very remote and obscure.

I've been there many times, as it's not far from where I live.

Wouldn't have thought so. I suspect I've been to some that no one here who isn't British has been to though.

Here are some obscure ones for me:

Hinsdale, CO
Lewis, NY
Hamilton, NY
Wayne, NY
Mono, CA

I've been to Hamilton and Wayne, NY.

Still no one for Somerset, ME or Franklin, ME? Piscataquis, ME, too, but I imagine someone has been to Katahdin.

Sullivan County, PA is the only one I could think of. World's End State Park is literally the only reason someone not from the area would go there as there's no highway passing through or any shortcuts.

No one here has any reason to go to Sheridan County Nebraska I would think.

I often took weekend trips in the 80s to ME, including Somerset and Franklin.

I haven't been through there, but I have been in six NE counties further west: Dawes, Box Butte, Sioux, Scotts Bluff, Banner and Kimball. Kimball's on I-80, but I've used NE 71 and US 385 to go up to Hot Springs, SD.

Anyone here been to Van Wert county, Ohio? I'm pretty sure I drive through that county to visit relatives every so often.

Ok, I'll try again. Let's go for Lake, TN. Also, anybody been to Lake, CA? I once visited a friend who lives there and it was really out of the way considering how close it was to major population centers.

I like US 30 as alternative route from Columbus to Chicago. So it's on my list, too.

I thought of another two: Park and Carbon Counties, MT. Carbon County is less likely as it lies between Yellowstone and Billings, but I think Park County is a good chance. Gallatin County, too, for that matter.

Anyone here for Essex, NY or Addison, VT?  I think Addison, VT is much less likely given the lack of VT and upstate NY posters and small size
