Point of order: The Election Day Act, having failed to achieve the constitutionally required 50%+1 majority (the certified result was a 7-7-1 tie), should not be presented to the Governor for his signature.

Thank you for that Mr. Moderate, I shall fix that immediently. Done

Bills on the Governor's desk for signature or veto:
Vehicle Procurement Act of 2007
Death Penalty Reform Act of 2007
Campaign for Invalidation of Vote Initiative
Northeast Euthanasia Act of 2007

I, MAS117, Governor of the Northeast, hereby sign the following bills into law:

Vehicle Procurement Act of 2007
Death Penalty Reform Act of 2007
Campaign for Invalidation of Vote Initiative
Northeast Euthanasia Act of 2007

Note about a Bill
I did not sign into law the Northeast Resolution Honoring FezzyFestoon and Rin-chan because it was a General Assembly resolution and not a bill, so therefore it does not require the signature of the Governor.

I think you still need to sign it; the constitution doesnt mention resolutions at all.

The offer is appreciated, but I'll be damned if I wouldn't look ridiculous in my Honda Civic with a full police escort.

After review of the End the Districts Amendment I urge my fellow citizens in the Northeast to vote Aye on the matter. Atlasia has at times thrived and at times continued on a steady decline. Fresh ideas and new ways which once again help the regions and the nation thrive in hopes of new activism among our citizens.

Some know that I am interested in making my first bid to seek the Atlasian Presidency. Over the next few weeks I will continue to engage and seek advice from my fellow citizens regarding February's Presidential & Gubernatorial elections. I will announce my decision about February's elections sometime in early to mid January. Thanks!

Ladies & Gentlemen, once again it has been an honor to serve you as your Governor. Representing the people of this great region has been one of the biggest thrills of my Atlasian life. With that said, it is time for the Northeast to move in a new direction. That is why I have decided to forgo re-election and endorse my Lt. Governor, Rocky Republican for Governor. Rocky has grown in a more then capable LT of this region, and now it is time for him to move on to bigger and better things. I'd like to thank all those region members and other Atlasians who said that they would support a re-election bid from me, but it's just not in the cards. Rocky will continue to keep the Northeast the best region in the entire nation.

With that said, I said several weeks that I would consider running for President for the first time in my 4 years here. Many prominent forumites have asked me to run, but I feel at this juncture I am just way to busy in real life to undertake such an important task. So I will forgo the Presidential race this February, and endorse my good friend and our Vice President, Jas for the highest office in the land. Jas has shown and his work ethic and dedication to this country in his time as VP, and he has made us proud. I look forward to working with him as President.

While I will not be running for anything at the end of my term, I will not be leaving Atlasia. I will continue to work to strengethen the Northeast and the country but in a more laid back role.

God Bless,

Governor MAS117

Let me be the first to thank you for your service.

I know you took a lot of criticism during your term, but the Northeast truly owes you a debt of gratitude.  In your tenure as Governor, the Northeast has gone from being one of the least active regions to being perhaps the most active in terms of proposed legislation.

I'm glad to hear you plan to remain active in Atlasia.  I'll be glad to support you whenever you choose to seek office again.

Mind if I inquire as to the reasons for vetoing Section 3 (the part that makes it illegal to smoke in a car with a child under 18)?

Fellow Citizens,

I have received numerous PMs asking me to jump back into the race for Governor of the Northeast. After some thought, I have decided to stay out and endorse Judge AndrewCT for Governor. Andrew is a fine Atlasian and have several honorably as the Chief Judge of the this great region. I wish Andrew all the best in his campaign, and Lt. Governor Rocky as well in his quest for the Vice Presidency.

Thank you,

Governor MAS117

While I know I previously endorsed the ticket of Jas/Moderate, and I know that if they win they will be a great administration, just moments ago I cast my ballot for Phil/Porce. Despite our numerous differences, and our turmoiled past KeystonePhil has been a constant voice for Atlasia and he deserves his shot at the Presidency.

Finally, in a few short hours the Northeast region will come once again under new governance. Since the inception of Atlasia, the Northeast has been my home, it has given so much to me, and I feel I have given my fair share back. I just wanted to take this time to thank all the past, present, and future members of this great region for their hardwork and dedication to the cause that is Atlasia. I can not say that I will be returning to elected office anytime soon here at Atlasia, I feel I have grown out of game. I will not leave the forum completely as I am still looking at/posting in other threads, but my return to elected Atlasian politics will most likely come to a halt after this weekend for a long time to come. Best of luck to everyone.

God Bless Atlasia!

At this point, I'd like to thank Governor Mas, and Lt. Governor Rockefeller Republican for all the hard work they have put into this region. They've done an excellent job, and I hope that they continue to stay active in the region!

 Thank you both!
