This is the place for any citizen of the Northeast region to propose any legislation they want. There will be two weeks for propositions. Once those two weeks have passed there will be a vote on the weekend after. For the legislation to be voted on, it must have the signatures of atleast three Northeast citizens. On your marks, get set...GO!

Recall Amendment
1. The Citizens of the Northeast Region may recall any regional official.
2. Any registered Northeast voter may open a recall petition on any regional official at any time.
3. If said petition shall receive the signatures of eight registered Northeast voters, it shall be brought before the electorate in an immediate vote.
4. The vote shall remain open for three days, and shall be held by the Chief Judicial Officer, unless it is the Chief Judicial Officer's own recall, in which case it shall be held by the Lieutenant Governor.
5. If, in said vote, a simple majority are in favor of the recall of said regional official, that official shall be stripped of the position.

X Verily

I would hope to never have to use it, but, as we've seen in the Southeast of late, it is sometimes necessary and expedient. The NE is larger than the SE, so I upped the signature requirement.

Also, it's about damn time the Northeast gets a minimum wage—we're the only region without one.

Northeastern Minimum Wage Act
1. The minimum wage for businesses operating inside the Northeast Region shall be set at $6.75 per hour, effective Jan. 1, 2008.
2. The minimum wage for service (tipped) employees shall be set at $2.75 per hour, effective Jan. 1, 2008.
3. The minimum wage for businesses operating inside the Northeast Region shall be set at $7.75 per hour, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
4. The minimum wage for service (tipped) employees shall be set at $3.25 per hour, effective Jan. 1, 2009.
5. Thereafter, the minimum wage(s) shall be indexed to the consumer price index (CPI) and adjusted annually on January 1st of each subsequent year.

Remember there is one more week to propose propositions. They require the signatures of three citizens of the Northeast, to be voted upon.

I agree with both, but I do think the "tipped" category should be $3.20 to begin with and aim for something closer to $4.

The "tipped" category was the hardest to come up with, but the numbers I came up with are higher than any individual state in the Northeast currently mandates now.  And besides, the minimum wage for a tipped employee will still be $6.75/$7.75, regardless of tips.
