HappyWarrior,

Joe Biden and Jesse Helms were both elected to the Senate in 1972, as it was in real life. Biden is a Republican and Helms is a Democrat. I, like you, could not see Biden join the Democrats of my timeline.

It's disgusting to have Jesse Helms as a Democrat, no matter what happens.

D.C. usually goes Republican in this timeline with 75-80% of the vote.

So it's a complete reversal of OTL?

PBrunsel,

That picture looks like Alex Rodriguez, not Reggie Jackson.

No that is A-Rod for sure.

That's what I though.  Why is A-Rod President?

Ben,

The governor of the Old Dominion is Douglas Wilder, a Republican and first African-American governor in the state's history. He was elected in 1993 after being defeted in 1989 by Jim Webb.

Wonderful, and the Senators?

Ben,

They are actually the same men and the same parties. John Warner (Republican) and Chuck Robb (Democrat). I was going to have Oliver North oppose Robb in the 1994 Democratic Primary, but decided agaunst the idea. He will most likyl run for governor of the Old Dominion State in 1997.

Thanks Smiley
