Let's suppose that the Reform Party doesn't fall for Buchanan's shenanigans and decides to nominate someone else: Donald Trump. He runs with John Anderson as his running mate. With Trump leading the way for Reform, do they have a good run or not? Smiley

Trump wouldn't be a good candidate simply from the image he maintains. He might've done better than Patty-Patty Buch-Buch, but the Reform Party was already collapsing.

But do you think they would've gotten at least the 5% necessary to get public funding? Maybe they could've played spoiler on Bush and given Gore the election or taken the race to the House. Do you think that Ventura would've been a better Pres. candidate than Trump and would he have attracted many voters nationwide?

Would Trump get the 5%?... Probably not without alot of help. Trump would have to dip heavily into his personal fortune, and I don't see him doing it.

Would Jesse Ventura have been better?... I say this not as a wrestling fan who remembers him insulting Vince McMahon and Bruno Sammartino on SNME and Superstars... Fond Memz... But no, he probably would've been a worse candidate than Trump.

I personally think that Lamm would've made a good Pres. option. Lamm/Trump?
