Interesting stats indeed. Unfortunately, like most points with evidence and logic, they will get brushed aside as heathen lies and Lucifer's tricks. Cant see the light if its blocked by a big brick wall of Bible. -_-

The Bible? I don't think so. If even remotely strictly construed, there is no theological basis for opposition or support for abortion. It's  bio-reductionist thing.

As far as economic influence goes, I have seen evidence that in the U.S. the abortion rate tends to decline whenever the economy is strong for extended periods.

That would make sense.  People will be more willing to have kids if their finances are in good shape.

Hell, the abortion rate dropped significantly under Clinton and has risen under Bush, I believe.  Targetting the socioeconomic root is the key to cleaning up the abortion blight.

Not the only factor involved, though. Germany has both lower birth rates and lower abortion rates than Britain and France - but I doubt there's all that much of a difference in overall sex had. The difference would presumably be due to wider use of contraceptives.

Isn't there a constitutional right for fetuses to not be aborted in Germany? Then again, it was kinda a weak declaration and generally, abortion is generally legal, but with all the restrictions we see in the U.S. all at once. Then again, some people really can't get that much sex. In Japan, sure their abortion rates are high, but peple just don't  as ofter, according to many surveys. I'm guessing its long hours.
