I'll support this bill if it is made consistent with the new drinking age.  Motion to replace the text as follows:

"Persons under the age of 16 and over the age of 5 shall be allowed to consume alcohol under the supervision of a parent or guardian."

Pre-existing law allowed parents to give alcohol to children under 5.  This law created a cut-off.
