Good news for Obama especially since some thought he would endorse Clinton.

For whatever reason, I briefly read that as "Gov. Pataki will endorse Sen. Obama" and I was like "wtf???".

Patrick is popular figure among Democrats and if he had endorsed Clinton that would be a sign that he deemed Obama to have no chance (like some others are doing).

I hadn't seen that poll (and its SUSA) but that is still an overwhelming majority of Democrats that approve of him.

The Massachusetts primary is in March, when Patrick probably won´t have any influence anymore in helping or harming Obama ...

Given that Deval Patrick is black, had he endorsed Clinton, it probably would have bolstered the credibility of claims that Obama isn't black enough to deserve the support of black people.

Is that stupid?  Yes.  But probably true.

well ive heard people at least imply that deval isnt black enough

i think it is also safe to say deval wouldnt be governor today if it werent for bill clinton.  seeing as how deval served in the clinton administration.  he should have endorsed hillary, in my opinion.

doesnt hillary have quite a few black endorsements?  hasnt john lewis endorsed her?

If Obama "isn't black enough," then Deval Patrick qualifies as a pure breed WASP.

He thinks Obama is the better choice.  I know Bush disagrees, but its better to have people who you feel are better for the job than picking someone strictly out of loyalty.
