Mike Pence, Sarah Palin and John Thune were my choices, all three apparently not very popular with others. I'll elaborate further if asked.

You picked two that I picked.  I chose Pence, Thune and Sanford.

FYI for anyone who's interested, I intend to start a new version of this thread (and the Dem. one) as soon as we have presumptive 2008 nominees for each party (so potentially as early as Feb. 6th), then I'll do another one probably in August or September after the VPs have been picked.

So if there are any names that you think I should include in a list of potential 2012 presidential frontrunners, that I haven't already listed in this thread on the GOP side, or in this thread:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=64257.0

on the Dem. side, let me know.

Huckabee, Pawlenty, and Barbour, especially if Huck is the 2008 VP nominee.

Mike Huckabee (representing social and religious conservatives), Mitt Romney (representing economic conservatives), and Mike Pence (also representing economic conservatives, as well as reformers opposed to corruption and the longstanding practice of earmarking) will be top contenders in the event McCain falls to either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama this November.

I would also say Mark Sanford, if he is picked by McCain as his VP nominee.
