Gporter has to be blue, because of his strength in Tennessee.  I'd assume red is...you?

It must have been more or less random. Some of the groupings make no sense at all. (Wyoming all for PolNut? The result around Lake Erie? Massive block-voting in parts of the South?)

Well, who is registered in Wyoming who may have voted for Polnut?

How does SPC win my county when Polnut wins all the surrounding ones? (Including some very conservative ones)

I must admit this map is a bit strange. Maybe we should do an Election map based on Regional results. This map, though understandable in some senses, is strange. I still can't get over the fact that Polnut was able to carry every single county in Wyoming!

I forgot to mention, how in God's name did Gporter managed to win a few counties in Maine? Particularly those boarding Canada.

I based it on where voters live/are registered. For people who I didn't have a specific county for, I usually just put them in with the biggest city, or in a couple of cases (Jake and SoS) I just put them in the middle of the state. Not perfect, who cares!

...Well, it's kind of neat!

I did work out a way of doing these things once; took into account real-life voting patterns, demographics and (up to a point) where our voters are registered. I may still have the file somewhere.

Looks like a weather map on a really weird day.  Nice though.

How could the county where I'm registered, Grand Isle County vote so heavily for ColinW?

I based mine on reason. I mean according to your map, some conservative states (Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama) would be strong for ColinW, while some liberal states (Rhode Island, Michigan) would go for gporter. And having Polnut win Texas???

Here's a Feb. 2005 one that makes a little more sense:

As I said in my original post, I based it off of where the voters were registered. Winfield was the only voter in RI and voted for gporter, for example.

And yes, I forgot to mention the key!! Colin is green, Polnut is red, SPC is yellow, and gporter is blue. So Grand Isle County is polnut--though I honestly don't remember doing that because of you Hashemite...haha! Oh well, it worked out. (At least I'm assuming you voted for polnut, I don't remember that either!)

How did you do that map?  It does look like a political weather map.  Pretty awesome.

I didn't feel like studying so I procrastinated a bit. I just used Paint, haha.

But yeah, it is kind of pretty. I like how it turned out. Smiley

Also, that circle south of the Florida panhandle is supposed to Puerto Rico.

Oh, some other descriptions:
Alameda County is a split county, with one vote for Polnut and one for Colin. So I just decided to give it >40% Polnut and make the rest of the Bay Area slight ColinW, as that is what it turned into as it got to >90% ColinW Lane County, Oregon (Porce and Rob). I put Everett (Colin) and Hugh (Colin) in Multnomah. Since it was surrounded by solid Colin territory, I made it >50% Colin before it turned into >90% solid Colin territory with Lane to the south and Thurston/Pierce (CultureKing/Alcon) to the north.

For Florida, I just sort of used PR as the closest state and transitioned it into ColinW as it reached ColinW-dominated Georgia (thanks to Democratic Hawk).

I had no idea where Joe live, but I put him in Cincinatti... I think he might actually live there, but its a pretty big guess. Not that it mattered - all of the votes in Ohio were for ColinW.

I decided to put SPC in Sioux County, Iowa, since Jas already took the county with Des Moines, and quite frankly, Sioux County just seemed very SPC to me!

The Yellow blob containing big chunks of IL and WI actually has two votes. I put Jedi in the suburban county just to the west of Milwaukee (while sticking Colin-voting Afleitch in Milwaukee because its the biggest city...) and also PBrunsel, who I vaguely remember mentioning Davenport County, Iowa, which is where I put him.
