-Central Asia is defined as the Muslim countries between Russia and Afghanistan -- Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.  All of them but Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan have borders with Afghanistan.

I say he's dead.

While I don't think he's in your house, and Saddam is certainly elsewhere, I don't think Florida is such a bad guess...if I were him the US is where I'd be.

Nah, I'm pretty sure he's dead.

And if he is alive, he won't let himself be caught. He'd kill himself before we got a chance to get him.

Just like Saddam Hussein.

The difference between the two is that Osama is a crazy fundamentalist and Hussein was an ex-dictator who wanted to stay alive.  Besides, if Osama is caught, not only does he shame himself and give much to the United States, but he's going to end up dying anyway.

That is a very real possibility, but we may not know this and may never know for sure.

Yeah, Saudi Arabia is an option. Kinda like the US option really, from the ideological point of view.
Iran is probably one of the least likely scenarios.

Essentially there's three options:
-Killed at Tora Bora or died on the run of kidney failure
-In hiding somewhere in Afghanistan or Pakistan
-Somewhere in the West, or a place he'd falsely consider West (such as Saudi Arabia). Without a beard, with a sleek haircut, and growing fat.

He has/had diabetes and got dialysis for them.  He would need dialysis for treatment, and likely lost a foot and suffered very low blood pressure if he didn't get them.

I said alive in Pakistan, but there's a good chance he was killed or died of diabetes.  Dialysis patients only last a few years anyway, I believe.

Dialysis patients only last a few years anyway, I believe.

People with end stage renal failure requiring dialysis must dialyze every 72 hours. If he required that level of attention he is long dead. I cannot imagine there are many dialysis centers in Afganistan or Pakistan.

As long as medical attention is available, he can live indefinitely without any impairment.  The fact that we have not heard from him in so long suggests he is no longer alive, but if anyone read Arnaud deBorchgrave's latest, he may be in the protective custody of the ISI.

ISI has him and they are holding him ransom against the US taking away the statute in their charter which requires the approval and vetting of the ISI Director by US intelligence.

or

He may be in Tijuana eating barbecued iguana while awaiting his turn on stage at the "donkey bar".  Shocked
