Something written by The Whitlams would no doubt fit the bill for some.

I'd think something written by The Wiggles would be more appropriate. Evil

That's more Nats than women, right?

And would a misogynist really choose a female as deputy party leader?

Of course.

Appointing a female deputy doesn't matter at all if she has no chance of becoming more than a placeholder until the party selects the next male leader if something unexpected should happen to the leader.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is an "econodry"?  I tried googling "Julie Bishop econodry", but all it gave me were links to Atlas posts by RogueBeaver.  Tongue

Econ-O-Dry is a line of coin operated laundry dryers, usually found pained with Econ-O-Wash coin operated washing machines.

Fire about to hit the Tarra Bulga NP, which is at the southern tip of the valley my cousin lives in. Highly unlikely to get to his place overnight if at all, but definitely possible, and more possible than the fires on the other side of the hill, even though they're much closer.

All in all, it seems like most people - especially in that area, which was hit on Back Saturday, but throughout the state - are both more tolerant of road closures and more willing to leave their houses early than they were in 2009.

Well you know what they say.  Once burned, twice shy.

At least they aren't proposing to solve the deficit with a tax cut as some here would do.

I guess Australians will be living like impoverished Asians.

Maybe he deliberately overreached with such a far-right wing budget so that the compromise he thinks he'll get will be what he actually wanted all along. Also, maybe he thinks that he's better off being unpopular right now and that he can count on increased popularity down the road in two years, when he thinks the economy will pick up again.

I like the guy, but I don't get the impression he's clever enough to do this.

But he might think he's clever enough even if he ain't.

Do you want me to repost the post you got deleted or is the topic too sensitive for you to handle?

Two things.  First off, reposting deleted posts is a sure way to get infracted again, and often with more points than the first time.  Second of all, cool down.  As a general rule, people either argue with objectional posts, or they report them, but they seldom do both.

Xenephon's starting his own party apparently. Cause he saw how that went so well for Bob Katter...
I think Xenophon's niche won't be gagged by a Clive Palmer type though Tongue

Plus also, he's in the Upper House so the issues that harmed Katter won't really affect him as much.

But the key question is...

Will he be so egotistical to name it after himself?

Yes - it's the "NXT" - Nick Xenophon Team. I was hoping for it to be called the Xenomorphs, myself

I wonder how long it'll be before some media wit down there starts calling them the Xenophonies.

Is New South Wales the Australian version of Florida?

At least bulldozer rampages usually only cause property damage.
