You might have noticed, just a chance, that his opponent was also a Southerner and not Rudy Giuliani

Well, as Giuliani tries to appeal to the Republican base, he alienates the Northeast. Romney certainly won't carry any Northeastern states; I don't think Giuliani will, either.

After the skeletons in Giuliani's closet come out in full force under the spotlight of a presidential run (as we are already seeing happen), Edwards will walk away with a moderate win.

Any voters who would have voted for Giuliani, vote for Edwards reluctantly because of Giuliani's Iraq War, and Terrorism stances. In Missouri, Virginia and North Carolina, Edwards looses only because of his almost Class Warfare rhetoric.

I actually acknowledge that John Edwards is almost a Socialist nowdays. I don't mean it as an insult though but as a compliment. What is the problem with Social Democracy, when Europe is thriving, and has better technology than us after two World Wars, and an even worse Depression?

Edwards is too much of a socialist. Rudy would carry New Jersey and CT .. I can almost promise that. With the war improving, it will not be that huge of an issue by late next year. It's already to the point where the Dems are backing away from pulling out right away because things have improved so much, sans Kucinich.

Europe isn't really thriving, and certainly wasn't thriving when socialism was in it's peak on the continent. The governments of Europe can spend on vast social programs and prop up inefficient industries because they don't have to shell out for defence and because the middle classes in those countries don't mind spending their money to provide for non-working immigrants that belong in the stone age.

You have to be out of your mind if you think NJ and CT will vote for Giuliani just because he is from NY. He is still a Republican who will not end this war. Edwards is a Democrat who wants to end this war, soon. People in NJ and CT will walk in that booth and see.. Giuliani- War, Edwards- No war.
It is not just because he is from NY, it is because of his legacy as mayor of NYC.  NYC was a place suburbanites feared going until he came to power, they see him as a tough crime fighter and someone who can clean up bad messes. If Bush could come close in NJ, there is no reason Giuliani can't win it.

Is this based on anything more than hackery for your new party of the week?

And you are the one to be talking? When you first came him you were so far right you made Hitler look liberal and supported the Republican party. NOW you have a  score of 0.00. Ha and I'm the flip flopper.

I'm sure you'll be back to being a straight Republican after you next leadership confrence.  I never flip-flopped by the way, PM scores don't mean a whole lot.  There is no issue except Iraq which 90% changes on all the time which I have changed my opinion.  However, your name is "Josh4Bush" and you had a R-NC avatar and Fred Thompson sig like a month ago.  Anyway, obviously your newfound Democraticness is clouding your objective view of the election.

Can you give me an example of the war improving? Don't listen to Al-Maliki, he's a hopeless optimist.

Actually he has held steady as a Democrat for a while. *applause* btw, Giuliani's war views lose him the election.
