All right, time for a new game.

In a desperate attempt to link Iraq to 9/11, neo-cons are pointing out that Saddam did have links with groups that did have links with al queda.

A la the game six degrees of Kevin Bacon (or six degrees of seperation), I wonder how many items we can link to Al Queda, and how close?

For example:

Saddam supported Ansar, which beat up the kurds he hated, which was 'inspired' by Al Queda

George Bush provided funds to the Taliban for 'drought relief' and as a reward for decreasing opium production, The Taliban is Virtually indistingishable from Al Queda.

Anyone want to add in:

France
England
Bill Clinton
Donald Rumsfield
Michael Moore
Kevin Bacon
Anyone else?

Anyone?

Actually, the Ansar al-Islam link is just one of many.  This is not some coincidental link, either.  They all cooperated together.

If you'd like me to explain person by person why none of the people listed are not tied to Al Qaeda and are not comparable to Ansar Al-Islam, I can.  But since you've obviously refused to have any kind of rational debate about terrorism, I won't unless someone asks me to.  The only one I'll address now is Bush, who didn't give drought relief to the Taliban but to NGOs that helped farmers.

If you want to talk about terrorism, be serious about it or buzz off.

So every major nation in our world has terrorists or cells in it. Why would Iraq magically never have had terrorists?
