It's a little weird, I think, that he's starting to do so well in states other than Iowa when he has so little money when compared to the likes of Romney and Giuliani.  You'd think that since they're both better funded and therefore in a much better position to mount a campaign that should swing the election their way, they'd be winning.

It's not that weird.  No one's running any TV ads in Texas, so why would Giuliani or Romney's $ have any effect there yet?  In fact, is anyone even running any ads in any of the Feb. 5th states yet?

I don't find it that surprising or weird at all.  Many GOP voters (especially in the South) have been searching for a credible candidate that has and will will continue to support conservative Evangelical values.  Huckabee is really the only candidate who lives up to their expectations in that regard.  Also, the fact that his record on economic issues is so much further left than the other candidates is a testament the amount of power this group has obtained within the GOP ranks.
