You could get some Jomentum going with Lieberman, but, especially if the racial divide exists in Democratic Party continues, Rice makes a lot of sense politically.

Because of her age and experience, if she were Conner Rice, a white male from Wyoming, she'd be solid.  She's an African American woman from California, who can cut into Democratic vote totals with African Americans, women, and, while not taking California, can force the Democrats to defend it.  Not to mention that she grew up a town known as "Bombingham," and came very close to being blown up by racists when she was four (her classmates were).  All most as good a choice as Powell.

If the Democrats pick Obama, Rice may do well in attracting women to vote Republican. If the Democrats pick Clinton, Rice may attract African Americans to vote Republican... Rice might be a nice pick, actually.

I think Condy's done a fairly good job of making herself look independent from, but loyal to, the prez.

To answer your question, no, McVain would not select Romney for VP.

I am told he is leaning to select Joe Lieberman as his VP is the event (god forbid) McCain is nominated.

Although he cannot compare in any way with Romney, Lieberman would be preferable to Huckabee in my view.

My guesses for McCain are,

1.  Sanford
2.  Bill Owens
3.  Maybe Lindsey Graham
4.  Pawlenty

I think McCain would choose Huckabee as VP to mollify the right wing of the Republicans

That would be great to shore up the Conservative base.

I like your dry sense of humor.

However, it makes me wonder if there is a law in South Carolina against a person being a candidate for election to two seperate public offices at the same time?  If so, it might be a way to get rid of Graham.
