There must be some sort of hidden psycholigical trait about Democrats choosing the absolute worst possible candidates to run for president.

Gore?   You mean the fat windbag?  You might as well just nominate Kuicinich if you want a crazy, wild-eyed Dem loon for 2012.  At least Kuicinich doesn't come across as an elistist, I'm-better-and-smarter-than-you condescending hypocrite.

HAHAHAHA

No, as you can see, the Democrats of today want to progress (can't help but use that term) into the future, and not repeat the failures of the past.

Of course, does this mean you are saying that the Democrats are going to lose in 2008?

That much has been obvious since the New Hampshire results.

Obvious? Lol. It's back on the map as a realistic possibility is all.

Of course it's not set in stone.  I'm a big fan of hyperbole on this forum.

Seriously, just stop it. It isn't going to happen. Gore lost to Bush of all people, what makes you think he can win against whatever other Republican is running?

A great candidate for 2012, I think, would be Gov. Ed Rendell.

His record as Philadelphia mayor--cutting taxes as well as balanacing the budget, pro-business, pro-growth initiatives--would draw in many indendent and swing voters.  He is a fairly competent governor.  And apart from that, his demeanor comes across as friendly and down-to-earth, and yet there is a certain something about him that makes him appear "tough".  He's got that glint in his eye.   Someone like Rendell can most certainly win Ohio and Missouri.    Dems, however, are too dumb to realize that this is the type of profile that can put them in the White House.

Yes. The best Republican in the general won and the worst Democrat. Looks like the GOP will hold on to the White House if these results hold in other contests.

2008 was the BEST possible time for him to run. He didn't... and he's not going to in 2012.

After watching McCain's victory speech last night, one has to doubt McCain's chances in the general election.

^^^

McCain has the best chances in the general- and would very likely beat Clinton- but this forum has neglected the many, many McCain gaffes in the last few weeks (like saying that he is happy to stay in Iraq for the next 100 years) and that victory speech was so awful that it was painful to watch.

That would be awesome. I'd love to see the Republican President re-elected.
