Obama is the only candidate with a common sense healthcare plan.

I think the likeability factor between all of them have gone down drastically.....btw Hillary's response was WAY more than 30 seconds.

...

Why is supporting single-payer healthcare an attack, IN A DEMOCRATIC DEBATE? That is disgusting.

Now Hillarycare is up.  She is the scariest.  We're paying 16% of our GDP for healthcare as it is, and I can't help but think her complicated plan will raise that.  At least with Edwards, who is further left on this issue and others, it's more of a straight-up socialized plan, so you know what you get.  Quality will decline for most of us, but costs won't go up.  But Hillarycare is such a boondoggle.  Worst of all words.

jfern, I appreciate your response.  Especially the Reagan one.  I know we mostly skim each other's comments in these "live debates" threads, but you're reading along.  I owe you a rebuttal, but you'll have to wait.  I'm going to watch a bit more debate first.

God, now the moderators are trying to force the Democrats to accept the lie that the surge is working.

Wow, that's a shift by Hillary: "Bring the troops home starting in 60 days". Still more pro-war than McCain in 1993, though.

They can say or do whatever they want, but nobody can deny that Obama proved himself tonight. Even Edwards did increasing well too.

Funny, the plan she just outlined was pretty much exactly the plan Bill Clinton called irresponsible about a week ago when Obama presented it.

Was Clinton always in favor of immediate troop withdrawal?  I could have sworn she was not in favor of withdrawal at all.

Hillary's and Obama's positions on troop withdrawal are actually very similiar.

Lost somewhat in the fact the beginning of his answer seemed awfully rambling and garbled.

That won't work either, but it's ok if we believe it.

Just to brace for a little attack, Hillary's health care plan would work, even though it would be inordinately expensive, because she properly addresses the "free rider" problem.

Though he may not be in this debate in person, the sprit of Mike Gravel clearly lives on.
