Automated response indicates that people hated the bickering and liked Edwards' anti-bickering moments. Clinton's passionate positive moments resonated well as did Obama's answer on racial issues

They said that Edwards won, but they'd be more inclined to vote for Obama because they didn't think Edwards could win Sad

I get lots of do-it-yourself plumbing supply commercials and pre-fab building commercials.  On the GOP debates I get lots of Levitra commercials.  And others for products like Levitra.

Interesting; I always figured it was Republicans who were buying all those random home repair products. Oh well,  go figure...

Hillary seems so angry up there. Obama seems slow to defend himself and Edwards looks good as usual. He won no question. Debating isn't one of Obama's strong points.

The question is whether winning this debate will overcome the fact that he lost to Kucinich in NV.

Obama won. He showed he could stand up to the Clinton attack machine which is what he needed to do. All Edwards won was a trip back to his mansion. Edwards has no chance in South Carolina or in any other state. Period. End of story.

Edwards didn't do that badly in Nevada.

True.

Edwards 4%
Kucinich 0%

Granted, I thought Clinton lost the NH debate, and yet it still gave her a bump.

Yes, but Obama was the one ganged up on today. Although, unlike Clinton in NH, he successfully defended himself.

Yes, but they're gonna try and spin it in some way. The Clinton campaign are already at it, claiming that "both candidates" were booed when she claimed you can't get a "straight answer" out of Obama which is total BS and a classic case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The media isn't helping either by saying that Clinton and Obama "traded blows" and insults and whatnot, when all Obama's been doing is defending himself against some of the disgraceful smears aimed against him by the Clinton camp.

The more this campaign goes on, the more I dislike Clinton - I felt fairly indifferent towards her at the start of the primaries but I'm growing more and more resentful towards that woman and the slugs around her.

Fortunately, Edwards will never get anywhere near the White House.  4% in Nevada was really impressive.  Looking foward to your next third place finish, this time a weak third in your home state.

Edward = one big yawn.

Well, Obama just lost the Hispanic vote.

I didn't see the debate. What did Obama say?

I didn't see the debate. What did Obama say?

That his healthcare plan doesn't and shouldn't cover illegal immigrants.

He's pandering to White lower-class voters. Who he needs. He never had the Latino vote to begin with.

But, as pointed out by Edwards, none of their plans cover the millions of illegal immigrants. So they are all screwed on that issue.

He also said at the beginning of the debate that Nafta had been a big mistake. While that works in SCarolina, it helps him even less with other hispanic voters, especially in Texas I would say.

Thanks.

There was an important moment near the end that warrants highlighting. Hillary was trying to portray herself as electable based on her perceived ability of competing with the presumptive Republican nominee John McCain with respect to the issue of "national security". This reinforces the point about how Hillary is in the position of having to come across as holier-than-the-Pope on this typical "Republican" issue and people should rightly fear whether this overcompensatory "tough guy (gal)" behavior will continue in the White House. Obama rightly pointed out the folly of allowing the Republicans to frame the issue to their liking and advantage.
