If you think that Mitt Romney's foreign policy would be much different than John McCain's you're pretty foolish.

I'd go with Romney solely because of the economy. McCain has even admitted that he doesn't know much about economics. This choice is difficult because I'm very concerned about the environment, an issue in which McCain has been on the green side for many years.

Pretty Much.

Also I can't help when I look at Romney to want to punch him in the face. Repeatedly. If he wins, the idea that the US is a meritocracy (which it clearly isn't but anyway..) is dead.

John McCain, though Romney is the only other major Republican I would consider supporting.

McCain.

If you asked me before Romney got into the race, I would have said Romney, but he has absolutely killed my opinion of him with all of his flip-flopping.

McCain.

I always hated Romney, but now that I know that not only did you vote for him, you made this poll, I'm incredibly intrigued to vote for McCain, and bribe everyone else here to do the same.

I don't know whether you've noticed, but BRTD already has the uncanny ability of advocating the losing choice.

Mitt Romney exemplifies everything I hate about America much more than John McCain does.

Please explain that statement. Do you despise the American meritocracy? Do you loath hard work and perseverance? Do you abhor ambition?

John McCain,.

My second choice is a tie between Clinton and Giuliana.

A close third is Obama, followed closely by Romney.

But I will be voting Obama or Clinton before McCain.

My odd collection of preferences (overall):

1. Ron Paul
2. Obama
3. Giuliani
4. McCain

Romney, just because I guess there's a chance he'd revert back to his marginally sane moderate persona he had when he was governor of Massachusetts.

McCain will bomb Iran if he feels he has to. Romney will bomb Iran to make himself look tough.

Unlike Romney, McCain seems to care about the environment and our image overseas. He's miles better than Romney. FWIW, I find Romney to be as odious as George W Bush. McCain would be a big improvement over dubya,  not that that's saying much.

Then by that logic you should *really* fear Hillary then, no?

John McCain.

They're both flip-floppers big time. Though I would rather the old guy rather than that 60 year old trying to look 25 again.

lol, not quite. It's more the egregious intellectual dishonesty that the Romney campaign exudes. It's a pity only scumbags can get elected in America (and when we get non-scumbag Presidents, such as Carter, they're incompetent. So either way, we're screwed).

It's hard to disagree with that. If only folks like Everett Dirksen and Bill Bradley could win the Presidency...
