The Economist thought Crist was a near-messianic figure just 100 days after he was inaugurated; If it weren't for his marital situation, he'd probably be the odds-on GOP favorite in 2012.  Economist article: http://tinyurl.com/32za99

Yes, but it's better than some of McCain's other unfortunate verbal gaffes.
