Wow this thread is really reinforcing my stereotypes.
So, how do you picture me?

I should know before I reinforce your view. Smiley

I have quite a few pictures scattered on different sites. Since the theme is youth, here's a favorite from 2 years ago. I'm in the back right with the tie.

Red shirt?  I can't tell if that's a tie or not.
Yellow shirt, brown jacket, beard. I'm the old guy.

Muon definitely looks like a professor.  You may not be able to judge a book by its cover, but you can always judge a bookcover from its contents.  (well, except that sears, zemanski, and young physics text with the earth in the middle and the sun rotating about the earth.)
Yeah, LOL.

I'm in 4 pictures on that particular web article I linked to. The most interesting thing about my appearance is its ability to draw people to ask me directions. I've been asked directions while visiting places all over the world. On my first visit to NYC as a grad student I was asked directions four times within three hours. Even though I was a newbie there, I surprisingly knew the answer three out of four times.
