This is the place.

To start off:  CNN.com is reporting that Mitt Romney will win the West Virginia Republican Convention.

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/dates/index.html#20080205

18 delegates are tied to today's convention -- 9 tied to May 13 primary -- 3 superdelegates for a total of 30 delegates.

No delegates have been awarded as of yet.

Wow, first Maine and now West Virginia? McCain is just on a losing streak, isn't he?

Do we want just one big results thread for both parties, or would it be better to have one thread for each party?

McCain's suckage in caucuses is a pretty predictable constant.

Especially since Romney really pimped for this one.

Then maybe we should rename this the GOP results thread (since we're already talking about WV results), and then start another thread for the Dems?

You should edit the subject line of the first post in this thread, so that it says GOP rather than bipartisan.

Rumor on the convention floor is that the McCain supporters are going to switch to Huckabee in order to prevent Romney from winning.

People really, really hate him apparently.

I wonder where Paul's supporters will go?

The fact that no one likes Romney is the shock of all time, in my book.  Wow.

That was my suspicion.

Apparently the only reason the WV GOP held a convention was to get out of debt, which they have succeeded at.

Al Widdershins should be good for a joke about this one...

According to this story:

http://www.wboy.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=34426

"The Convention is currently taking a one-hour recess, and is scheduled to reconvene at 1:30 PM.".....which I guess is in just about a minute.

McCain's surrogate is formally asking his delegates to go to Huckabee:

Huckabee wins after Paul is eliminated, and the McCain people switch to Huckabee in order to stop Romney:

http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/dates/index.html#20080205

Huckabee 52%
Romney 47%
McCain 1%

Woohoo!  I hate Huckabee, but at least it keeps the race in play.  No coronation of McCain yet.
