I'm predicting trouble for Romney today if Huckabee continues to split the conservative vote with him.

Woohoo!  I hate Huckabee, but at least it keeps the race in play.  No coronation of McCain yet.

This was a McCain victory because it was his supporters who gravitated over to Huckabee to prevent a Romney win.

Right.

Absolutely, and coming out on the morning of the CA primary may push undecided conservative away from Romney.  This is not going to be a good Romney day.

From Drudge:

The board of elections failed to deliver voting equipment to polling places ALL OVER LOS ANGELES... Developing...

Sounds like the Villagorosa machine at work again...

That would mean the Republican Race has mere hours remaining.

Strategically, yes.  To the unsophisticated observer, McCain finished 3rd, and Huckabee is emboldened.  Most Americans are unsophisticated observers.

What does this mean for the election in California? Will balloting be extended? (I would imagine so; this sounds like obvious grounds for a court injunction.)

I don't really know.  I'm just spreading Drudge rumors, which may or may not have any basis in anything.

There are rumours that McCain supporters were told to jump ship to Huckabee just to prevent a Romney win.  Pretty weasle-ish if you ask me.

While to the sophisticated observer, McCain still finished 3rd, but Huckabee wasn't emboldened at all, since he lost to Romney in what should really be one of his most natural states.

Maybe it looks better for Huck since Romney essentially tried to buy the convention.

He didn't lose to Romney.  All of the press is saying "Huckabee wins WV".

Interesting -- CNN.com has it as 6:00 pm ET and a lot of other states at 7:00 pm ET including Alabama and Delaware.

They're just plain wrong. Georgia closes at 7, the rest of the East Coast except New York at 8, and New York at 9. Some inland states close at 8 EST, or 7 CST, as well, including Alabama, Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas.

Polling average has McCain leading Romney by just a couple of points, with Huckabee a very close 3rd:

I don't think they'll be calling Georgia on the GOP side for a while.

Local TV is reporting Huckabee got Paul supporters to come over to his side in WV by promising them 3 national delegates.
