Do you think a Mark Warner/Sherrod Brown ticket would be a good idea for the Democrats in 2012 should they lose this year?

I would be happy with any ticket that has Mark Warner or Brad Henry leading it.  But while we are talking about vice-presidential possibilities, Russ Feingold or Ron Wyden should definitely be considered.

We would be leaderless going into 2012. This would be a perfect time for a 3rd tier or 4th tier nobody to come a surprise us.

Yeah... hopefully if we do lose this year, we'll have an open field next year, unlike in 2008, when we've essentially had everyone running against an incumbent (Clinton).

This could be dangerous. I have been trying to say that we will have to fight to even keep the party afloat if we do badly enough this year.

I like Feingold and he would be a solid choice. However, I think he could probably get more done in the Senate.

Feingold/Warner could be the best DEM ticket since Clinton/Gore.

Wyden would be a surprise. He may not be  a huge leftist idealogue despite being decidely liberal in general. but  he's pretty much escaped ntice for the most part, except that he made that big long speech some time ago, presumably in homage to Wayne Morse, the senator from Oregon that could care less for party ties and also made a 4 hour speech.

I would just barely rather have a Bayh/Brown ticket than Warner/Brown. I think Bayh appeals more to Protestants, while Warner appeals more to Catholics for some reason.

Who are you referring to, if I may ask?
