I've heard for quite some time now that Richardson is a likely one from the presidential candidates.  What about Biden, Dodd, or Gephardt?

Bill Richardson and Joe Biden would make the best sense for Hillary and Obama, respectively.

Gore probably wouldn't accept, but I think he'd be the strongest VP for Obama of those listed.

No idea, but Kathleen Sebelius should be rated at least 5.0.

Biden would be a beast of a VP for Obama, although he might be a little old...

That is, if he could not make dumb statements on the campaign trail. Less of the "clean black" quotes and more of the "Noun+Verb+9/11" material.

I think Bill Richardson would be an excellent choice for either.

You'd think so, based on his resume, wouldn't you.  But his performance in the debates and on the campaign trail wasn't just bad.  It was HORRIBLE.   I must have seen him in five or six debates before he dropped out and in each one, he seemed confused, addled and unprepared.  I couldn't believe this was the guy who had been Governor of New Mexico, a Congressman, a U.N. Ambassador and a Secretary of Energy. On a couple of different occasions, he even referred to our need to take a tough, but diplomatic stance with "the Soviet Union".  I know what he meant.  But seriously -- get the name right.  I really wanted him to be good, too.  But he was just awful.

So given that, he would be a terrible pick.  Which means nothing.  Edwards was an awful pick. Lieberman was a terrible choice. Quayle was a worthless selection.

I'd say Richardson is in the running.  But my gut impulse today is where it was six months ago.

If Clinton wins the nomination ------------->   Wesley Clark

If Obama wins the nomination ------------->   Joe Biden

I hope realism sets in here soon.

In case you haven't noticed, Obama is black, Richardson is hispanic.

Two minorities on the same ticket?  Will not happen.

There is no way on earth that Obama will go with anybody but a white male.

Protestant or Catholic doesn't matter, but what does matter is that it will be a white male.

That is simply the reality.

I have this feeling Obama will win, and if he does, Richardson would be a good choice for him.

I would hate to see Biden on the campaign trail: "You can't go to a 7/11 without having a slight Indian accent". What a fukcing dolt.

The vice-president for Clinton will most likely be an equally bland "moderate" Democrat who brings nothing to the ticket. Evan Bayh and Tom Vilsak come to mind. For Obama, my ideal candidate would be a progressive like Russ Feingold...but that's unlikely in the least. I would settle for Kathleen Sebelius.

I agree with the list you have provided there, except for Governor Sebelius. As much as I'd like to see her on the 2008 Democratic ticket she won't.
